Warranty Policy

At Solar Light Australia, we want you to have confidence in the products you purchase from us. Our products are supplied with manufacturer warranties in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Manufacturer Warranty

SolarLight products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty applicable to the particular product purchased. The applicable warranty period is shown on the relevant product page or in the documentation supplied with your product.

Proof of purchase may be required when making a warranty claim.

What the Manufacturer's Warranty Covers

The manufacturer's warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects and product faults that arise during normal use, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions.

What May Not Be Covered

The manufacturer's warranty may not cover damage or faults resulting from:

  • Incorrect installation or failure to follow the supplied installation instructions
  • Alterations or modifications to the product
  • Misuse, neglect or accidental damage
  • Damage caused by work performed by third parties
  • Incorrect electrical connections or unauthorised electrical work
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage resulting from external events or environmental conditions outside the product's specified operating requirements

Any exclusions are subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You may be entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You may also be entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These consumer guarantees apply independently of, and in addition to, any manufacturer's warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your SolarLight product has developed a fault, please contact Solar Light Australia before removing, modifying or attempting to repair the product.

When contacting us, please provide:

  • Your name
  • Order number or proof of purchase
  • SolarLight model
  • Description of the problem
  • Photographs or video showing the issue, where appropriate
  • Date the issue was first noticed

We may request additional information to help identify the cause of the problem and determine the appropriate remedy.

Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, we will work with you and, where appropriate, the manufacturer to arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable warranty and Australian Consumer Law.
