Welcome to SolarLight Australia.

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services. By accessing our website or placing an order with SolarLight Australia, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

SolarLight Australia is an Australian-owned business supplying solar-powered skylight alternatives and related products throughout Australia.

3. Eligibility to Purchase

By placing an order with SolarLight Australia, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to make a purchase.

4. Products and Availability

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, and availability information are accurate.

However:

Product images are for illustrative purposes only.
Colours, finishes, and packaging may vary.
We may update product specifications for future orders. If a change affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before supplying a materially different product.
Products may become unavailable or discontinued.

SolarLight Australia reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue products at any time.

5. Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Unless otherwise stated, prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice.

The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.

6. Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase.

Your order is not considered accepted until:

Payment has been successfully processed; and
You receive confirmation that your order has been accepted and/or dispatched.

SolarLight Australia reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where permitted by law, including where:

A product is unavailable.
A pricing or website error has occurred.
Fraudulent or suspicious activity is suspected.
We are unable to fulfil the order.

If an order is cancelled after payment has been received, a full refund of the amount paid will be provided.

7. Payment

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.

Payments are processed through Shopify Payments and any other payment providers enabled for our store. SolarLight Australia does not store your full payment-card details.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping charges, processing times and estimated delivery timeframes are explained in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery estimates are guides and are not guaranteed. If your order is delayed, missing or damaged, please contact us so we can investigate with the carrier and work with you to resolve the issue.

Nothing in these terms or our Shipping Policy limits your rights or remedies under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Installation and Product Use

SolarLight uses a roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar panel connected by cable to an indoor LED ceiling light. It produces daylight-like LED illumination rather than transmitting natural sunlight into the room.

Before ordering, check the product dimensions, ceiling cut-out requirements, roof compatibility, cable route and suitability for your intended location. Contact us if you need help selecting a model.

Installation must follow the manufacturer's instructions and applicable requirements. Roof access, mounting, cable entry and ceiling work must be carried out safely and maintain the property's weatherproofing.

DIY suitability depends on the product, property and installer's skills. Use a qualified installer where necessary.

Selected hybrid models support optional mains-powered operation. Any new or altered fixed mains wiring, switches or power points must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Please review our Installation & Safety information before starting work. Nothing in this section limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Change of Mind Returns

Change of mind returns are subject to our Returns & Refund Policy.

Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, SolarLight Australia is not obliged to provide a refund or exchange where a customer changes their mind.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Warranty

Certain products may be supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty or additional warranty coverage.

Warranty claims must be made in accordance with our Warranty Policy and any manufacturer requirements.

Warranty coverage may not apply where damage arises from:

Incorrect installation.
Misuse or neglect.
Unauthorised modifications.
Failure to follow installation or maintenance instructions.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

is owned by or licensed to SolarLight Australia and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

14. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites.

SolarLight Australia is not responsible for the content, security, availability, or privacy practices of those websites.

15. Website Availability and Security

We aim to ensure our website is available and secure at all times.

However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not responsible for outages, technical issues, cyber incidents, or events outside our reasonable control.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolarLight Australia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

17. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and disclosed when you interact with our store.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information when you visit or purchase from our store.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. To provide enhanced services, including personalisation and advertising-related services, Shopify may use information about interactions with our store together with information from interactions with other merchants and Shopify.

Personal information is shared with Shopify and other service providers to provide these services. These recipients may be located overseas. Our configured Shopify data hosting location is the United States, although processing may also occur in other countries.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this website and apply prospectively from the stated effective date.
