The 600mm × 600mm Square SolarLight Kit provides daylight-like LED lighting for larger living areas, kitchens and workspaces.

How it works

A roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar panel generates electricity and connects by cable to the indoor LED ceiling light. The light is produced by LEDs; sunlight is not transmitted through a skylight shaft. Solar-powered brightness varies with sunlight, shading and installation conditions.

Installation and suitability

Installation requires suitable roof access, a cable route and a ceiling opening or suitable existing opening. Roof fixing and cable entry must follow the manufacturer's instructions and maintain weatherproofing. The installation method and time depend on your property. Use a qualified installer if you cannot carry out the work safely.

Any new or altered mains wiring, switches or power points must be installed by a licensed electrician. Confirm model compatibility and the supplied components before planning mains-powered operation.

Hybrid operation

This model is described as a Hybrid SolarLight with a driver for optional mains-powered operation after dark. Mains operation uses electricity from your property's supply. Any required new or altered fixed wiring must be completed by a licensed electrician. Follow the model-specific instructions for driver and input-control connections.
